The British Empire’s ‘deep’ history and its centuries-old propaganda must not be overlooked in Jerusalem’s long and tragic story. In particular, while this piece does not mention it, the Russian Analyst wishes to point out that the ‘pre-Tribulation Rapture’ and association of ‘Gog and Magog’ mentioned as invading the Holy Land in the Old Testament Book of Ezekiel with ‘the Prince of Rosh [Russia]’ are false teachings, introduced to Evangelical Protestants during the period of Anglo-Russian rivalry in the decades before and after the 19th century Crimean War. Like the modern secular state of Israel — founded in large part by atheists or agnostics, led by Ashkenazim German speaking socialists who came from Europe prior to the genocides of WW2 — the Russophobic Gog and Magog beliefs have nothing to do with the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy (sorry Judge Jeanine Pirro). According to several Orthodox Christian interpretations of prophecy, a descendant of the tribe of Benjamin who promises the Jews he will rebuild King David and Solomon's temple in Jerusalem is not their long awaited messiah, but the Antichrist.
As Team Rogue Money’s Ken Schortgen Jr. wrote in his book The Israel Deception, these are modern heresies created for geopolitical rather than divine reasons. While we at RogueMoney do not deny Jewish people the right to live peacefully in their own nation-state, we believe there can only be peace between Israel and its neighbors by telling the truth. May 15, 2018 (EIRNS)—The death toll from the Israeli assault on Palestinian protesters yesterday at the Gaza border is now 60, with reports of more than 2,700 people wounded, 1,360 of them by gunfire. Of the wounded, 130 are in serious or critical condition. Hospital facilities have been completely overwhelmed. Egypt has pledged to provide aid. Today, as funerals take place, demonstrators are again out at the Gaza border, and many other points throughout the region.
Today is known as “Catastrophe Day”—or “Nakba”—referring to the date 70 years ago, when Israel was formed by the dispossession of Arab lands in British Palestine. Now over 5 million Palestinians are confined to shrinking territories, in terrible conditions, and with the provocation of the U.S. opening its Embassy in Jerusalem yesterday. After yesterday’s carnage, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called for three days of mourning.
Emergency meetings have been called by major institutions, including the Arab League which will meet May 16.
The UN Security Council met this morning, at the behest of Kuwait, whose representatives circulated a resolution calling for an investigation of the May 14 massacre. But the United States blocked the resolution. China and others backed initiation of an investigation, stressing that the violence must be replaced by talks. Russia reiterated that its offer remains in force, to mediate between the Palestinians and Israel. Russia said that the “quartet” process of negotiation should be resumed, because, despite its deficiencies, it is enshrined in UN Security Council mandates.
There are reliable reports that contingents of U.S. Marines are now deployed for protection at U.S. Embassy sites in Turkey and Jordan, as well as the new Embassy in Jerusalem, and in other capitals throughout the region.
Both the White House and the U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office issued statements with similar formulations in support of the Israeli claim that the May 14 violence was entirely the fault of Hamas, the militant group which governs Gaza. Deputy White House Press Secretary Raj Shah told reporters at a May 14 briefing, “The responsibility for these tragic deaths rests squarely with Hamas.” He said, “Israel has the right to defend itself.” British Minister for the Middle East Alistair Burt called the loss of life “tragic,” and expressed concern about the large volume of live fire employed by the Israeli security forces. However, he made the same point as Shah, saying: “It is deplorable that extremist elements may have been seeking to exploit these protests for their own violent purposes,” Burt said. “We will not waver from our support for Israel’s right to defend its borders.”
The draft UN Security Council resolution that was blocked, states, according to AFP today: “The Security Council expresses its outrage and sorrow at the killing of Palestinian civilians exercising their right to peaceful protest.” Further, “The Security Council calls for an independent and transparent investigation into these actions to ensure accountability.” The text additionally addresses the matter of Jerusalem being asserted as the capital of Israel. It states, that any decisions and actions “which purport to have altered the character, status or demographic composition of the Holy City of Jerusalem have no legal effect”—a reference to the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
The Arab League tomorrow will take up this matter. The League’s Permanent Committee on Human Rights issued a statement calling on the International Criminal Court to investigate “the crimes of the Israeli occupation” against Palestinians. “Israel is an oppressive and murderous entity and its politicians and officers must be taken to the International Criminal Court,” Ahmad Shamout, the committee’s chairman, said in a statement referring to yesterday’s killings. Arab League chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the “massacres” of Palestinians, which he said resemble “war crimes.” In a statement he called on the international community to “protect the Palestinian people, who have chosen the path of peaceful struggle and have been confronted with brutality, violence and murder.”
The world is now reacting to the Israeli killing of Hamas protesters in Gaza on May 14th. The bloodshed occurred on the same day the American Embassy opened for the first time in Jerusalem, to great fanfare from both U.S. political parties. Over sixty one Palestinians were killed and 2,700 were wounded. The culprit here is not Donald Trump for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, something every American President in modern times has promised but, ultimately, not delivered. The actual culprit is the City of London and its British imperial institutions which, since the Sykes-Picot treaty of 1916, have utilized the Middle East (a British imperial term for Southwest Asia) as a simmering, resource dense, looting ground and periodic geopolitical hand grenade in great power conflicts. Both sides, in the Arab/Israeli conflict have deep and longstanding ties to the City of London. The area has been a continuous British playground for religious based violence and counter-insurgency since even before the British and French colonial powers carved up the area in 1916 under Sykes-Picot.
The only solution to this continuing dangerous and genocidal mess is a Four Power agreement between the United States, China, India, and Russia. An alliance between these nations, representing the vast majority of humanity, aimed at developing the world, would end the City of London’s control of the world’s finances and resources once and for all. That now urgent agreement cannot begin to be negotiated while the coup against Donald Trump continues in the United States. Vladimir Putin, who has conducted diplomacy with all of the nations in Southwest Asia, is the indispensable partner with whom Trump could begin this process. No real meeting between Trump and Putin, urgent in the context of the unwinding of the Syrian war, can occur right now because of the coup against Trump. That coup has been instigated by the City of London, operating through British intelligence, precisely because Donald Trump has signaled a willingness to work with Russia, China, and India to solve the world’s most intractable problems through a program of massive development of the world’s economies.
In a May 15, 2009 speech, LaRouche has been involved in attempting to solve this conflict through great projects for development since the mid-1970s. See, e.g., The Middle East As A Strategic Crossroad, A chronology of LaRouche's attempts to achieve a lasting Mideast peace. Based on his more than 40 year involvement, LaRouche said in his speech that unless the type of republican outlook exemplified by the American founders is adopted, an outlook rejected by the post World War II City of London and Washington foreign policy consensus, the situation in the Middle East is hopeless. LaRouche has continually reiterated since that speech that the only means to defeat the City of London/Wall Street imperial power and secure the peace is through the Four Power Agreement. Both Russia and China have undertaken the type of major development programs LaRouche envisioned as the result of China’s great One Belt, One Road Initiative which began in 2013. India is increasingly becoming a part of this new paradigm. The missing actor is the United States.
Lyndon LaRouche Speaks at Central Connecticut State, 2009
LaRouche began his 2009 speech with a sweeping overview of the world history determining the present conflict:
“I shall suggest it is an error to talk a Middle East policy. That is, I think, one of the reasons we have a problem with the Middle East is, we keep talking about a Middle East policy. Instead of talking about a conflict in the so-called Middle East, we should talk about the Middle East as a conflict, and a conflict that is largely global, especially within the context of nearby European and related civilization. . . Don’t look at the Israeli-Arab conflict. Don’t ignore it, but don’t look at it. Because the conflict is not determined by the Israelis or the Arabs. It’s determined by international forces which look at this region. How? As a crossover point between the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean, the relationship of Europe to Asia, the relationship of Europe to East Africa , and so forth.”
The underlying current world conflict, LaRouche noted, arose most sharply after the United States won the U.S. Civil War by defeating the “British puppet Confederacy” and began inland development of internal areas of the country with the transcontinental railroad. Until that point in history, maritime powers such as the British Empire had reigned supreme. All conflicts of the world today,
“are the echo of this long conflict between the idea of the internal development of national territories and across national territories as typified by great transcontinental railway systems and technological progress, and the other side, the idea of maintaining maritime supremacy, a maritime financial supremacy over the world at large.”
“Now go back and say, where did the British get this idea—as they did with Sykes-Picot—where did they get the bright idea of keeping the Arab population, and what became the Israeli population, at odds with each other permanently? Killing each other over land that wasn’t worth fighting for in terms of its quality. . . Look at the Israel of the 1950s and 60s, and even the 70s, the early 70s where there was progress. What do you see today? You see decadence. Accelerating decadence and the increase in warfare. What do you see in the Arab condition. . . decadence. . . Are these people just going to kill each other into extinction? What’s wrong here? Well, somebody’s playing them.” That somebody, LaRouche says, is the City of London financial power which, since Lord Shelburne’s study and emulation of the Roman Empire, has always operated on the principle that “you get the other guys to kill each other; then you come in and take over the mess.”
Concerning the Middle East, LaRouche said,
“the passions are deeply embedded. The habits are deeply embedded. We can try to impose the influence of restraints. Try to prevent these crazy Israelis from thinking about an attack on Iran, because that would really be a hellhole operation. . . But don’t believe there’s some solution for the Arab-Israeli conflict. There’s no solution in that per se.”
LaRouche stipulates that the only solution is to end the idea of imperial systems, the Anglo-American post war system specifically, and return to the principle of the great Peace of Westphalia.
“Our purpose should be, to set up a system of sovereign nation states under which each group of people, using their own language, and their own culture, is self-represented. But these nations, as such, so formed must have a common interest, in the betterment of the general condition of mankind. . . we as a people must develop our spiritual culture; that is, the creative powers of mankind, to carry further the development of mankind, from some brutish character by a campfire a million years ago, or so, into mankind as we desire that mankind should develop today.”Those are the principles by which the world’s most populous nations, through a Four Power Agreement, can end the imperial system once and for all.
The President’s Problem: Corrupt Democrats and Republicans
The very evil President George H.W. Bush created the most reliable voting bloc in the modern Republican Party through major recruitment of Christian evangelicals to the party. A significant portion of those recruited were Christian Zionists associated with the Christians United for Israel organization of [San Antonio, Texas-based Pastor] John Hagee. Christian Zionist organizations intersect with other pro-Israel lobbying groups in the U.S. such as AIPAC. The key tenets of the Christian Zionists include supporting Israeli settlements in Palestinian areas, recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, opposing the peace process, and exacerbating relations in the Arab world and thus hastening Armageddon as prophesied, according to them, by the Bible. If you wonder how such religious tenets were created, look no further than Great Britain and the construction of this religious view by John Nelson Darby and Edward Irving in the early nineteenth century. Lord Palmerston had previously used the return of Palestine to the Jewish people, and religious differences more generally, as a major feature of his imperial policies aimed at control of colonial populations through ideological conflict.
Contemporary Christian Zionists have recast the nineteenth century Great Game between the British and Russian Empires into a 21st Century struggle between the USA and an “evil axis” of Russia, Russia’s Arab [and Iranian] allies, and China—the same foreign policy as that pursued by the British and their satraps in the U.S. foreign policy establishment today. Many of those who celebrated the opening of the new American embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, as Hamas and the IDF engaged in deadly combat only a few miles away, are Christian Zionists. CUFI founder John Hagee who wants war with Iran and all of Islam, and says Hitler was doing “God’s work” among other “End Times” beliefs, provided the closing prayer. Robert Jeffress who professes that Jews can’t be saved, provided the opening prayer for the ceremony. Vice-President Pence, who is a Christian Zionist and has assiduously cultivated CUFI, seems to have designed the ceremony.
But the present Mideast cockpit for war is hardly the sole result of Bush family actions in the Middle East and the United States or Mike Pence’s “raptured” embrace of British influenced religious bigots and ideologues. Senator Chuck Schumer [D-NY] and endless Democrats supported the move of the American Embassy to Jerusalem and have stood silent as a modern Warsaw ghetto was erected for the Palestinians in Gaza. The Democrats have led the war against Trump, the coup, which was orchestrated by British intelligence against the President. That coup sprang from fabricated surveillance by GCHQ, the British surveillance agency, and an information warfare campaign conducted by MI6’s Christopher Steele and an entire bevy of British intelligence operatives, funded by the Democratic Party. Their primary beef with the President is that he embraced dialogue with Russia and China rather than the orchestrated war of containment and provocation against those countries, launched by the Obama Administration at the behest of the City of London.
President Trump’s promise to end America’s perpetual wars and work with Russia and China, is the only approach which has a chance of avoiding war in the Middle East. Instead, the Democrats propose to use the 2018 Midterms to elect candidates who vow to impeach the President, creating the field in which Vice-President Pence and others of his ilk can viably argue that their ability to mobilize the 2018 vote is the absolute key to this President’s survival.
If you are frightened by these developments, as you should be, then join us in building the alternative. LaRouche PAC is campaigning in the 2018 midterms on a platform which calls for ending the coup against President Trump, joining China’s great One Belt, One Road project, the largest infrastructure project in human history, and enacting LaRouche’s Four Laws for Economic Recovery of the United States. Please, take the time to consider joining us in winning our country back and preventing a conflagration would could envelop the entire human race.
