Syraq SITREP 36: Russian Foreign Ministry Admits Dozens of FSU Citizens Wounded in U.S. Air Strike, 100s of Syrian Shi'a Militia Join Kurds to Halt Turkish Aggression in Afrin

On Tuesday the Russian Foreign Ministry acknowledged what had been widely reported and rumored: dozens of former Soviet country citizens had been injured in a U.S. air strike on a large Syrian convoy in Deir Ez Zor province on February 7. The RuMFA denied that any active duty servicemen had been killed or wounded, and dismissed as 'disinformation' reports picked up by Reuters and Bloomberg that hundreds of 'Wagner' mercenaries had perished in the American air and artillery strikes. However, authentic looking footage of charred bodies and severely wounded being carried by Russian speaking men in uniforms was widely circulated online amidst numerous debunked fakes. Russian media outlets were able to identify at least eight combat deaths and an Associated Press reporter interviewed relatives of the deceased in a small town in the Urals, where several local men had gone to fight as paid volunteer combatants in Donbass or Syria.

While the skirmishing which led up to the major US attack on the local Syrian tribal 'ISIS hunters' and Russian PMCs remains murky, Russian sources suspect a set up by the Americans. That is, the Russian soldiers of fortune were attached to Syrian units which expected the local Kurds to easily hand over an oil and gas field, particularly with Kurdish fighters quitting the U.S. special forces-led positions around Deir Ez Zor province to go fight the Turks in Afrin. Instead, the Americans, after allegedly contacting the Russian military hotline at Kheimmim, and hearing that no Russian regulars were present with the Syrian tribal fighters battalion, dropped a hammer on it...which may have been the plan.

British Empire’s Russiagate Operation In Open Disarray

British Empire’s Russiagate Operation In Open Disarray

Feb. 20, 2018 (EIRNS)—The coup crowd is pretty much making things up as they go. Indicative is Rep. Adam Schiff’s response to Robert Mueller’s indictment of the 13 Russians, to he effect of: well, this set of indictments may not have shown Trump "collusion," but just you wait—maybe the next ones will.

The Boston Herald today joined the New York Times and Yale Law School’s Media Freedom & Information Access Clinic in calling for the FISA court to declassify the Obama administration’s application for a surveillance order on Carter Page and the FISA Court order, wishfully hoping that the Steele dossier was not the only basis for the surveillance order. In any case, the Herald editorial staff concluded:

"To continue to keep the FBI’s warrant application secret at this point and in a case where there is intense public interest is counterproductive. It’s high time for a dose of sunlight on this case."

‘Never Any Evidence’ of Trump-Russia Collusion, House Intelligence Chairman Nunes Assures Sharyl Attkisson

‘Never Any Evidence’ of Trump-Russia Collusion, House Intelligence Chairman Nunes Assures Sharyl Attkisson

On Tuesday special counsel Robert Mueller followed up on last weekend's symbolic indictment of thirteen Russian citizens for identity theft in support of alleged election meddling. Under pressure to demonstrate results after months of failing to reveal any collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, Mueller reportedly 'flipped' longtime Paul Manafort business partner Rick Gates to testify against one time Trump campaign manager, over Ukraine-related money laundering allegations against the two men that preceded any Manafort involvement in the 2016 campaign.

Perhaps more relevant to the ongoing Congressional exposure of perjury, material evidence withheld by Justice Department lawyers from the FISA court and FBI/NSA surveillance abuses by the Obama Administration, Mueller indicted an Anglo-Dutch attorney even most Russiagate addicts had never heard of. Alex Van Der Zwaan is the son in law of Russian oligarch German Khan, who together with fellow Alfa Bank oligarchs Mikhail Fridman and Petr Aven is suing Buzzfeed for publishing the defamatory Steele Dossier. By indicting Van Der Zwaan, Mueller appears to be trying to establish some of relevant to the 2016 election connection between Manafort and Van Der Zwaan's work for the Yanukovych government overthrown in the illegal CIA/State Department backed Kiev coup of 2014 and oligarchs the Steele Dossier claims are close to the Kremlin. Steele of course, remains so confident in his 'intelligence' product that he has chickened out and refused to defend it in British libel court. But it remains unclear whether Van Der Zwaan's guilty plea of lying to FBI agents, like the guilty plea of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to the same charge, will actually produce any state's evidence for Mueller. So far it doesn't appear Mueller has coerced Flynn into testifying against President Trump or anyone in his present circle of relatives and advisers. There are now reports that Flynn's attorneys may withdraw his lying to the FBI guilty plea, effectively tearing up his cooperation agreement with Mueller's team.

Meanwhile, Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) continues his investigation into the Obama Administration's corrupt weaponization of intelligence and FBI assets against a political rival. -- JWS

America's Future Is On The New Silk Road with China

America's Future Is On The New Silk Road with China

Sunday's thorough indictment of the FBI by New York judge and former prosecutor Jeanine Pirro was needed, and completely accurate as far as she went. America does not need, and should not have, such a Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Since its creation under Anglophile President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt in 1908, at British instigation, the role of the FBI has been to delude Americans as to who their adversaries and enemies were, not to fight crime.

Its first job was to tar and feather "Russian and Eastern European reds"; then to arrest, exile, or kill American leaders who did not believe in 1915 that the United States should go to war with Germany. Then it was East European "reds" again, and dossiers to blackmail Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy (as well as JFK's brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy) against detente with Russia; harassment, surveillance, arrests and murders to destroy the Civil Rights movement. And then the post-J.Edgar Hoover "modern era" of making serial murderers into FBI informants and protected witnesses, including protecting the Saudi accessories before-and-after-the-fact to the 9/11 attacks. China Continues To Make Significant Strides Forward In Economic Reform

China Continues To Make Significant Strides Forward In Economic Reform

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of when China began the adoption of reform and what is termed an “opening-up” policy. This policy was initiated by former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping and it has transformed China into the world’s second largest economy.

Since the initiation of these reforms, China has embarked upon widespread economic reforms in both rural and urban areas, gradually replacing its planned economy with a system prioritising the market’s role. China has also set up special economic zones and opened its market up to the world in the shape of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative and countless other bilateral trade agreements.

Thanks to these reforms, China’s economy has made huge progress over the last few decades. Its GDP reached 82.7 trillion yuan last year, which is about 230 times that of 1978. China has lifted nearly 800 million people out of poverty and plans to eradicate poverty, in its entirety, by 2020.

Demand the Ouster of the Whole FBI (Mis-)Leadership!

Demand the Ouster of the Whole FBI (Mis-)Leadership!

It wouldn't have taken much of an "investigation." Alarmed citizens had given the FBI not one, but two completely specific, credible tips that Nikolas Cruz would massacre high-school students exactly as he did on Feb. 14. And if the FBI had bothered to mount any investigation at all in response, it would also have found, long before the killings, a third, additional warning that some journalists found within two days afterwards: that Cruz belonged to an "Instagram" chat group where he made similar threats. He showed off his "arsenal" of seven guns, and wrote, "I think I am going to kill people."

President Trump tweeted yesterday, "Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russia collusion with the Trump campaign. There is no collusion. Get back to basics and make us all proud."

Forget the Ham Sandwich, Indict Piroshki: To Keep Russiagate Alive, Mueller Indicts 13 'Internet Research Center' Russians

Forget the Ham Sandwich, Indict Piroshki: To Keep Russiagate Alive, Mueller Indicts 13 'Internet Research Center' Russians

After weeks of the Russiagate Narrative losing momentum, with the Obama Justice Department's use of a British spook's made-up dossier as justification to spy on the Trump campaign and CIA director John Brennan and FBI agents' perjury under investigation by GOP led Congressional committees, the Empire behind Special Counsel Robert Mueller struck back. On Friday Mueller's office issued an indictment of thirteen Russian citizens. Conveniently for the Russiagate Narrative, none of the indicted Russians likely will ever see the inside of a U.S. court room or have the opportunity to debunk the prosecution.

Nonetheless, with nothing burger short order cook Mueller having produced little more than confessions to lying to the FBI and indictments of Paul Manafort for alleged money laundering predating Manafort's work for the Trump campaign, the legacy media leaped on the news like a pack of starving hounds. They were joined by the entire Washington and media establishment, with some Congressmen like Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) comparing an alleged trolling and impersonation operation to the Imperial Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor.

The evidence of Russian meddling in the U.S. election is now 'incontrovertible', according to White House National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster -- who would later be subtly rebuked by his nominal boss, the President of the United States, on Twitter. The press claimed that Donald Trump had labeled all Russian disinfo efforts a 'hoax', even though Trump insisted he was referring to the Democrats and neocon #NeverTrump ers accusations against him or his campaign of collusion (whatever that means) with Russia. And Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein stated during his press conference that the 37 page indictment did not present any evidence of witting American cooperation with the Internet Research Center's political trolling. However, the latest product of Mueller's team full of prosecutorial hacks is worse than a crime -- it's a farce. Not only on the basis of its shaky, free speech violating legal theory regarding what constitutes illegal foreign influence over political outcomes in the United States, but also in its 'overwhelming' yet shoddy and easily faked evidence. Allow the Russian Analyst to explain...
