#QAnon began posting a furious barrage of messages this past Friday, April 20, 2018 that revolved around the little girl shown in this photo. The picture is ostensibly dated to the summer of 2008 just weeks before Obama had secured the Democratic nomination. Her name is Maggie “Mags” Nixon and Obama’s pet name for her was apparently “Wendy.” Today that girl is a young woman who may be suffering severe depression and who struggles with episodes of self harm. And there are some people at the White House who would love to protect her right now (and may, in fact, be doing that.) Just what exactly is #QAnon insinuating?Read More
As tensions somewhat eased over Syria in the past week, with Moscow’s military chiefs meeting their U.S. counterparts in Azerbaijan and the Anglo-American case that chemical weapons use by Assad justified punitive missile strikes falling apart, the economic motives behind Washington’s belligerence remained. Despite delaying a new round of Russia sanctions announced by his neocon UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, on April 16, 2018 President Donald Trump tweeted an allegation that not only Beijing was a currency manipulator, but also Moscow. “Russia and China are playing the Currency Devaluation game as the U.S. keeps raising interest rates. Not acceptable!”
The fact that U.S. sanctions announced earlier this month against key Russian industrial and metals conglomerates are a major reason for the ruble’s slide versus the dollar was not lost on the Russians, or the few Americans who chose to comment on this presidential tweet. Curiously the Trump tweet calling out Russia for supposedly malign economic behavior was ignored by the Cold War 2 enthusiasts. Perhaps admitting that there is anything the ‘gas station posing as a country’ with a GDP ‘smaller than Italy or Spain’s can do to actually impact the American economy is a taboo among neocons. Alternatively, since it doesn’t fit their Narrative that Trump is Putin’s puppet, the information is discarded. Most likely though this Trump tweet was simply lost in the legacy media shuffle of Stormy Daniels, extraordinary legal pressure on the President’s longtime attorney Michael Cohen, and the furious online and media propaganda war over Syria. Bloomberg, whose job it is to report on the Russian economy and not merely repeat deep state boasting about inflicting huge casualties upon ‘Wagner mercenaries’ in Syria, ran a story suggesting that the Kremlin is looking to make important concessions. Supposedly these present a way for the newly reelected Putin to save face with his hard liners, while paving the way for a White House summit the Kremlin desperately wants.Read More
Relations between Washington and Ankara have been deteriorating since the failure of U.S. regime change efforts in Syria led Washington to support PKK militant-linked Syrian Kurds, in order to maintain an occupation foothold in the country. The botched CIA-sponsored July 2016 coup to overthrow Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and its aftermath were extensively covered here at RogueMoney, with Moscow exploiting the breach to achieve a surprising rapprochement, after Turkey shot down a Russian SU24 jet in November 2015. After Putin and Erdogan met, Russian tourism and purchases of Turkish produce resumed; the Turkstream pipeline was introduced to replace the Southstream Balkan project that Washington had coerced the Bulgarians into cancelling. Then Turkey’s slide away from NATO accelerated with the expected delivery of Russian S400 air defense systems to Ankara and closer cooperation with Iran.
Turkish generals speak of needing the S400 system to defend against attacks from their former American allies, while pro-Erdogan politicians and some opposition members continue to call for Incirlik air base to be closed. Turkey occupies northern Syria largely using a proxy army, but this occupation is grudgingly accepted by Damascus due to ongoing Turkish-Russian peace talks to end the war in Syria. Being used by Washington as a manpower pool and vast arms dump for war on the Assad government has left the Turks with many problems — including Kurdish forces heavily armed by Washington, plus millions of military age Syrian males on their territory, a large number of them jobless. Iran, Russia and above all China are offering the Turks a path forward without needing the long denied membership in the European Union to address the country’s demographic and economic challenges. The American response has been to threaten sanctions against Turkey for jailing a U.S. citizen pastor, and denying Ankara arms if it goes ahead with the S400 purchase.
Small wonder then that Erdogan is declaring gold ought to replace the dollar in international lending, and the Turks are demanding the repatriation of their gold reserves stored in the U.S.
Israel allegedly followed up on last week's barrage of U.S.-British and French cruise missiles fired against the Syrian government. However the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attack on a base near Homs supposedly targeting Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel was said to use non-kinetic electronic warfare. Syrian commanders blamed the Israelis use of jamming from jets flying over Lebanon for making their country's air defense operators shoot off missiles, while being fooled into thinking that they were under attack. Perhaps envious of the Russian 'off switch' that may have taken down a large number of the missiles fired by the Anglo-Americans (at least two intact 'smart' missiles have reportedly been transferred from the Syrians to the Russians according to TASS) on the night of April 13-14, the Israelis may have wanted to demonstrate that they too, can pack an electronic punch.
Israeli evaluations leaked to the press of the President Trump-ordered air strikes were that they represented a 'failure', because only three Syrian sites were destroyed. The American missiles missed the alleged chemical weapons the Assad government allegedly hid or produced since surrendering its CW arsenal to international inspectors in 2013-14. The logical follow up question then, with Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) multinational representatives on the ground in Damascus and headed for the nearby town of Douma to investigate an alleged gas attack, is why Washington and Tel Aviv do not immediately direct inspectors to sites where their intelligence services believe the Syrians are hiding toxic weaponry? As retired Army Col. DIA analyst Pat Lang noted about his time providing intel to UNSCOM, when Saddam Hussein remained in power after Iraq's crushing defeat in the 1991 Gulf War, UN inspectors were directed by American intelligence to chemical and biological weapons production sites, where WMD materials were found and peacefully dismantled. Of course, we don't see such referrals using intel from CIA and Mossad, because the alleged Syrian chemical arsenal is being used as a pretext for American and Israeli strikes on an ally of Russia and above all, Iran. What's clear is that there were no chemical weapons stored or produced at the three sites U.S.-UK missiles flattened (while France had an alleged failure to launch its weaponry). Otherwise the Syrian clean up crews and photojournalists who filmed the rubble would've shown symptoms of exposure. It's also evident that the Americans and British are increasingly nervous that their story about the evil Assad gassing children in Douma which was used to justify the missile strikes is falling apart, despite the legacy media’s propaganda.
With each passing day, revelations are emerging which show that not only are the "news stories" proliferating in the media about Presidents Trump, Putin, Xi, and Syria's Assad full of lies, but come from London-directed networks, which are out to sabotage the potential for peace through development, which is the aim of the new "win-win" paradigm and is emerging with the New Silk Road global program. Associates of the Schiller Institute have been at the forefront in exposing these lies, while explaining their origin, in London, but also their cause: the rejection by these circles of the New Paradigm, which Helga Zepp LaRouche has played a leading role in bringing into existenceRead More

Self-destruction isn't a bug, it's a feature of our socio-economic system.
The gravitational pull of self-destructive behaviors, choices and incentives is scale-invariant, meaning that we can discern the strange attraction to self-destruction in the entire scale of human experience, from individuals to families to groups to entire societies.
The proliferation of self-destructive behaviors, choices and incentives in our socio-economic system is profoundly troubling. Exhibit 1 is the opioid epidemic (charts in the original story). How did we reach this level of individual and social self-destruction?Read More
